With more than 165 million users, Brazil is in 5th place in the world ranking of countries with the largest number of internet users. The country is behind only China (1 billion), India (658 million), the United States (307 million) and Indonesia (204 million). In total, there are more than 5 billion active internet users around the world.

When taking into account only Latin American countries, Argentina comes in 3rd place with 38 million internet users. Mexico is in 2nd place, with 96 million. And the Brazil is the absolute leader, with more users than 2nd and 3rd place combined.
Where do Brazilians access the internet most?
O cell phone is the preferred device of Brazilians accessing the internet. Approximately 99% of internet users in Brazil access this device.
In addition to cell phones, 50% of Brazilians access the internet via TV, mainly due to streaming services.
Notebook and Computer are in third and fourth position, respectively. Despite smaller positions, the sum of the percentage of Notebooks and Computers still represents a large share, of almost 38%.
