Lives have become something absolutely common in times of quarantine. Now the Instagram announced a very interesting new feature for those who enjoy live broadcasts: the social network has implemented a menu that allows you to download your live stream or add it to your IGTV, right after the broadcast.
Now Lives are no longer limited to 60-minute broadcasts – the time has been extended to up to 4 hours. And this longer time will be available to all Instagram users, globally. The only restriction is that the user cannot have a history of violating the platform's IP or policies.
Users will also be able to access their Lives in their private files, for up to 30 days after transmission – similar to what happens with Stories. And it will be possible to download the content and post it elsewhere.
The other news is that Instagram is adding a “Live Now” section to IGTV, where users will find live content to watch right now.
